Sometimes when using Internet Explorer 8 (IE8), you will receive a message about a corrupted search provider. It states "a program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider settings for Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer has reset this settings to your original search provider, Bing (www.bing.com). Internet Explorer will now open Search Settings, where you can change this setting or install more search providers.

However, even after changing the search provider settings, the problem remains when you open IE8. 

What is Beta Version means??

Anonymous calls for Internet blackout on April 22

London: Hacking collective Anonymous has called for an Internet blackout in protest of a bill, Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), which if signed into law, would make it legal for websites to give personal information to the US government without the user's permission. Anonymous has called for an Internet protest on Monday, April 22, to protest the "illogical and terrorizing bill", an English daily reported. 

The plan doesn't involve shutting down or attacking the Internet in any way, it just wants all websites to go dark in protest for 24 hours on Monday. It is not yet known which websites will participate in this blackout. 

This will not be the first Internet blackout in protest of a government bill. On January 18, 2012, more than 7,000 websites, including Wikipedia, Reddit and Google, protested SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act), which were accused of similar breaches on online privacy. Two days later, the bill was shelved indefinitely. 

President Barack Obama has threatened to veto CISPA for failing to adequately address privacy concerns.

To resolve this issue, use one or more of the following methods in the order in which they appear in:

Method 1:
If you have an earlier version of Office installed, such as Office 2003 or Office 2007, follow these steps:

1. In Windows 7 or Windows Vista, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then select Run.
2. In Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type the following command, and then press Enter:
   
   reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1
4. (Optional) Instead of typing the command line, you can click here to copy it to your clipboard, right-click an empty section of the Run box, select Paste, and then press Enter.
5. Verify that the problem is resolved.

If the problem continues to occur, go to the next method.

Alternately, go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc and find the file “hosts”. Open that file in Notepad.
